FallFall in Vermont is a bucket list experience! Many of summer’s recreational activities continue, but against the dramatic backdrop of autumn color. Hike, bike and play golf while the sun shines and the air is crisp! Paint, photograph and be inspired by the foliage.

On Site Activities

The Hill Farm property offers a host of at-home adventures. Enjoy a relaxing stroll or morning jog through the property on a set of groomed walking trails. Take in the gorgeous valley views from the porch as the day unfolds. On a rainy afternoon or relaxing evening, rack up the custom pool table in the game room and have a cocktail from the pub. An outdoor fire pit ringed with Adirondack chairs is perfect for two, or for enjoying s’mores with the family! Animal lovers can explore the barn and get to know our charming goats, sheep and pot-bellied pigs.

Leaf Peeping & Sightseeing

Daytrip from the inn to favorite foliage destinations, or book seats with Backroads Discovery Tours to explore Vermont’s history and landscapes. Fall is a great time to summit Mount Equinox, by foot if you like, or by car.

Apple Picking

Is there anything more New England than a trip apple-picking in the fall? Pick-Your-Own orchards, fall festivals, and fresh cider donuts abound. Don’t forget your camera! Orchards to the north and south welcome you to experience one of Vermont’s best-loved autumn traditions.
