Summer’s Sweetest Tradition

There’s so much to love about summer in the country. Long days filled with outdoor adventures, farmers market dinners, starry nights by the fire. When the Pollards bought Hill Farm Inn, they kept the best, most authentic things intact, and simply improved the others.

S’mores are a family tradition loved by friends and guests alike. How can you go wrong? Two graham crackers, a toasted marshmallow, and a half a chocolate bar. Voila! Perfection. They’ve been around forever. Wikipedia says the first recorded version of the recipe can be found in a Girl Scouts 1927 manual called “Tramping and Trailing.” So much fun! You can pull up a chair by the fire pit out back, prepared with all the fixings. Toast your marshmallows, and soak up the valley views with a tall glass of tea or an ice cold brew. After all, they’re for grown-ups, too.
