Hill Farm sits on 70 acres along the Battenkill, with year-round comfort and amenities that shift with the season. Nature puts on a show through snow, mud, summer, and stick season alike: flowers and long days, fall foliage, deep drifts, bare branches and quiet light. Wake up to breakfast at the Inn, and wind down with dinner and drinks at The Restaurant at Hill Farm. Say hello to the lady alpacas and barn cats Maple and Tiger any day of the year.

  • Fly Fishing

    Hill Farm is an Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge and is blessed with over a mile of frontage on the Battenkill River, famed for its beautiful brown and brook trout. Our guests can enjoy individual or group fly fishing lessons and guided days on the River.   

  • Market Garden

    Explore our market garden to preview the array of flowers and seasonal vegetables that will be used at the Restaurant and Inn. Our head farmer will share what is growing in the fields and greenhouses and answer any of your questions.

  • The Farm

    Our friendly barn cats, Tiger and Maple, will introduce themselves and make themselves available for cuddles on the porch. The lady alpacas are housed in our historic barn, and you are invited to visit them. Ask for apple slices at the front desk.

  • Wrap Around Porch

    Our expansive covered porch fully surrounds three sides of the inn and offers a peaceful oasis with expansive views of the Green Mountains.

  • Pool

    Take in the beautiful vistas of the farm and surrounding mountains from our heated saline pool, open seasonally.

  • River Loop Trail

    Enjoy the serenity of nature as you stroll along our one-mile River Loop Trail. There is a bench along the route to stop and enjoy the view.

  • Lawn & Games

    Hill Farm has over three acres of great green lawns adjacent to the Inn and Restaurant. Relax in the sun or shade in our Adirondack chairs, or enjoy a game of croquet, cornhole, or badminton. Try snowshoes in the winter months.

  • Fireplace & Fire Pits

    Guests can warm themselves by our grand, wood-burning fireplace in the Main Inn or by the charming gas-fired stoves located in select rooms in the Inn. Seasonal fire pits located throughout our property. Ask for our complimentary s’mores.

  • Fitness Room

    A fitness room in the Main Inn offers rowing, cycling, and elliptical machines for our guests. Whether you prefer an outdoor or indoor workout, we have you covered.

  • Game Room

    Enjoy a game of pool, darts or a board game in our game room, featuring our locally crafted pool table and gas fireplace.

  • Breakfast

    Your stay includes our full, farm-fresh breakfasts, served each morning at the Main Inn breakfast room. Coffee and a selection of teas, juices, fresh fruit, yogurt, and scones are also available daily.

  • Battenkill Pub

    Located in the Main Inn, next to the great room and its wood burning stone fireplace, the Pub is the perfect place for our guests to gather and enjoy a drink at the bar, or take it outside to our adjacent porch.
